Alien Battleship
- A dice game for humans -

3 to 6 players is best, but any number can play.
You can even play by yourself, trying to out do your last 10 round score.

You need 5 dice to play this game
and a sheet of paper to keep score on.

The winner is the first player to reach 100 points
or the player with the highest score after 10 rounds.

Let's get started, shall we?

Each player rolls the dice and the lowest score goes first.
The game is played in a clockwise rotation.

The object of the game is to acquire an Alien Battleship,
a Captain, a First Mate, and a crew.

Each player gets up to 3 rolls of the dice while it is their turn.
All 5 dice are rolled on the first throw.
If not at least 1 six is rolled, all 5 dice are rolled again.
If a six is rolled, it becomes the player's Alien Battleship
and it is set aside. If more than 1 six is rolled, only 1 shall
count as an Alien Battleship and all others shall be rolled
again on the next throw if any throws are left in that round.

You must have a Battleship before you can have a Captain,
and you must have a Captain before you can have a First Mate.
So you must have rolled a six (an Alien Battleship) before you can
count a rolled five as a Captain. If you roll a six and a five together,
you have your Battleship and your Captain. If you roll a six, a five,
and a four, you have your Battleship, your Captain, and your First Mate.
If you roll a four with your six, or anytime after, without having obtained
your Captain, it does not count.

Once you have rolled and set aside a six (your Alien Battleship),
a five (your Captain), and a four (your First Mate), you are then ready
to take on a crew.

The 2 remaining dice will determine your crew count for each turn.
So lets say you roll a six, a five, and a four on your first throw,
you have 2 throws left to gather crew members. If after 3 throws
you still do not have your Alien Battleship, Captain and First Mate,
you must wait until your next turn to try and acquire them or
what ever part of the trio you may still need. You can not start to
recruit crew members until you do.

While recruiting crew members, you can count the total
of the 2 dice only once, but remember, you get 3 throws per turn.
So if you roll low, you can re-roll 1 or both dice again.
If you roll high, keep your count, mark it on the score card,
and pass on your remaining throws. Once you re-roll 1 or both dice,
the new number is the only number that counts. If you re-roll a five,
trying for a six, and get a two, the two is what will be counted
if you have no more throws. After all throws are used up for each round,
you must keep the final total showing.

If you still do not have your Alien Battleship, Captain and First Mate,
you may not take on a crew, and you will continue to score zeros
for each round until you begin to take on crew members. When counting
crew members, the Captain and First Mate do not count.

The first player to obtain 100 crew members is the winner.
If after 10 rounds, no one has reached 100, the player with the highest
number of crew members is the winner. Remember, all rounds must
be played evenly. If there is a tie, those players must enter a final death
round to determine who is the winner, and who must leave the ship
without a space suit!
